There seems to be an abnormal disjunction of things these days. Brain malfunctions abound…

For example, take the verbal threats (and denial of service attacks) directed toward Jeff Goldstein at Protein Wisdom. Seems a Wacademic dislikes his blog. Lady, get a grip. Holy Fool summarizes my thoughts the best:

Anyone that would implicitly threaten an opponent’s child has forsaken the right to be considered civilized. She flirts with sins that cry out to heaven. May she come to repent of her evil and rejoin the society she has abandoned.

TIME, the magazine that picks genocidal maniacs for Man of the Year (ad nauseum), has become the must-read glossy Muslim Apologetics text of the fashion season. Diverse fashions, my foot. It’s dhimmitude and oppression in my book.

Cindy Sheehan’s idea of a hunger strike includes coffee, ice cream, protein shakes… So hows about some fried chicken and wateeeee-mellll-lon to go with your moonbat casserole?

Fjordman, via Gates of Vienna writes on the New Marie Antoinettes. For those who have attended government schools, Marie was a former Queen of France in the late 1700’s whose reign ended badly. While lauded during her youth for her beauty, she did not seem to have inherited any of her mother’s acumen (she was the Empress Maria Theresa of Austria). When the French peasants were literally starving in the streets, she reported quipped “Let them eat cake.” Her husband’s rule of France (or lack thereof) spiralled down into war, more famine, the fall of the French monarchy – but lots of fabulous French Revolutionary musicals.

And finally (since we’re on the subject of desserts not usually found on the usual hunger strike menu), the Dixie Chicks whine that their comeback album/tour has not be accepted with thunderous applause and skyrocketing sales.
