    Consequently, I am very concerned about the two First daughters being frequently used by their parents and private aspects of their lives exploited. This diet subject is worthy — maybe bring it back up when the country is in better times. We should be focused on providing food for people in economic challenged situations. I believe the First Lady should drop this program, right now.

    Currently, there are children without food…we should be making every effort to provide relief and permanent solutions to those children and families struggling to put food on their tables.

    There are many outstanding organizations in which to participate. My family is a supporter of the Inter Faith’s Food Shuttle BackPack Buddies Program. Through this activity, backpacks are loaded for children, with food, for weekend meals.

    I applaud the First Lady’s effort to encourage healthy eating and growing fresh produce if at all possible BUT for goodness sakes, test the soil of a garden before planting — sewer sledge might not be the best fertilizer.
