Imploding Idiots, et al.

Now, y’all already know, I have never cared for Rosie. As any Southern lady will tell you, “You can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear” (and I’ve used that nugget of truth before, but referring to Cynthia McKinney, that bastion of Southern Non-Sensibility, but that’s another rant for another day). She thought she was going out with a blaze of glory, but it was no surprise to me when she bowed out of The View early. She never contributed anything to the show other than spiteful, Bush-hating, conspiracy-mongering rhetoric, so good riddance. Grown ups can debate civilly, even heatedly. But it is still a mature exchange of opinions. And real grown ups continue to respect each other, despite their differing opinions. Brats have shouting tantrums and call other people names. Maybe while Rosie is enjoying her well-deserved time off, she can do a middle school science project on how to melt steel.

John Edwards uses Memorial Day, of all things, to further his premature election dream by bashing the troops. How Patriotic. How American. Bashing those who fight for his liberty. Classic.

Poor, poor, pathetic Cindy Sheehan. Grasping for her last few seconds of fleeting fame – The Anchoress has some wise words for her…

Do go home, Ma’am. Do go home and be silent for a little while, because silence is so much more instructive than noise. Go home and figure out who is trying to kill you and who is actually trying to save your grieving ass. Your son had already figured it out. He knew that liberty comes through the overthrow of tyrants.

Siggy is not quite so compassionate.

CNN & Fox are fiddling while Venezuela evaporates, literally, into the socialist mists. Fausta has the biggest and best round-up. She’s been writing on it for several weeks now. The BBC must be reading her blog to get the latest info! I took Fausta’s challenge this morning,

And where are the American cable news channels?

Didn’t see anything about Venezuela, I sure didn’t! No sir! A tear streaked Cindy Sheehan was the head-liner at CNN and Fox’s lead was about immigration reform.

Then, not unexpectedly but not wanting to be outshone, Hillary hoists the “It Takes a Village” banner again, but this time with a different Chorus. A song we’ve all heard before.

Presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton outlined a broad economic vision Tuesday, saying it’s time to replace an “on your own” society with one based on shared responsibility and prosperity.

Yeah, we know that song. And it stinks like Castro.

Thank you for your kind words!
Fox News now has a guy on the scene, Adam Housely, who’s been at the receiving end of the tear gas and the water cannon and is doing a great job.

[…] School, Village Idiots, Greenhouse THIS, Fourth Estate) Now y’all have heard me say before “You can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear” and of course, Siggy says “….you can put an ape in a tuxedo and even teach that ape to […]
