The giant stew pot of these week’s items is now ready for sampling. Have the Rolaids ready….

If you see something…

Joe Doe Dies at the hand of the Disarming Democrats. While you’re at it, read Debra Burlingame. What’s a patriot to do? Watch the homeland be blown away?

The brotherly love so touted by Queen Nancy at the beginning of her term has reached such dizzying heights that the Senate is having trouble getting it’s work done. Imagine that…

…lawmakers of both parties said they had rarely seen the tone so poisonous and the willingness to work together on the floor at such a low ebb.

“The last vestiges of courtesy seem to be going out the window,” said Sen. Trent Lott, R-Miss., who has served as majority and minority leader during his almost 20 years in the Senate. “Every time I think the Senate — Republican or Democrat — has gone to a point where you can’t go any lower, we go lower.”

Reid, Yep

Harry Reid dons propeller-hat during a self-contemplative moment. Now all he needs is a sliderule and some tape on his glasses. News at eleven.

Hillary is given what for by the Pentagon.

The Pentagon yesterday launched a blistering attack on Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton for boosting “enemy propaganda” by demanding the U.S. military whip up plans for withdrawal from Iraq.

The forceful pummeling – in response to Clinton’s request that the Defense Department “prepare plans for the phased redeployment” – came in a terse letter to the Democratic presidential front-runner from Defense Undersecretary Eric Edelman.

“Premature and public discussion of the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq reinforces enemy propaganda that the United States will abandon its allies in Iraq, much as we are perceived to have done in Vietnam, Lebanon and Somalia,” Edelman wrote in the July 16 letter.

“Such talk understandably unnerves the very same Iraqi allies we are asking to assume enormous personal risks,”…

Dan Riehl wonders about Fred. Amazing that the attacks continue unabated, despite the fact he hasn’t officially declared he’s even in the race. The Dhimm’s must be realllllllly afraid of him. And if 20 hours over a little more than a year’s time, OVER THE PHONE, counseling a client gets you the lobbyist label – well then, most people I know would be considered lobbyists.

Fausta has a cool roundup about the BBC’s blantant bias – the photo snit is just the “tip of the iceberg”, so to speak. Over the pond, the BBC is funded mostly by taxpayer funds, unlike here where our rags are funded mostly by advertising revenue. They all should be tarred and feathered.

Dennis Prager covers Ayaan Hirsi Ali vs Avi Lewis. It’s a two parter. Avi Lewis is beside himself with anti-Americanism. Ali 1, Lewis 0. Now go have a spit….
