The Bible According to Pelosi

This is just downright rich. I just love it when people who have never read the Bible think they can quote scripture. Tuesday, on Earth Day, Nancy Pelosi quoted her favorite “Bible verse”:

“The Bible tells us in the Old Testament, ‘To minister to the needs of God’s creation is an act of worship. To ignore those needs is to dishonor the God who made us.’ On this Earth Day, and every day, let us honor the earth and our future generations with a commitment to fight climate change.”

Michelle Malkin notes:

Apparently, it’s a favorite verse of hers. She has used it in official statements on global warming, the budget, Martin Luther King Day, Christmas, and why she’s a Democrat.

Gateway Pundit goes even further to say,

“Too bad her quote is not in the Bible… The Christian Bible.”

How true! I wonder if its the new Envirozombie Bible, fresh off the presses and stowed under her new couch? Right there among the peanut hulls, faded M&Ms, a couple of dead french fries and 78 cents in change. I wonder just HOW MUCH the Goracle paid her (and Newt) to sit on that couch and spew that swill.

But… ahem… I digress… ahem. Back to Pelosi’s Bible Bowl skills. Honestly, I didn’t think rich folks from the Left Coast could be bothered with all that Christian mumbo-jumbo. People might think there were from Pennsylvania or some other dreadful back-woods. Where people pray for one another, care for one another, help one another. Clinging to God’s promises. Fausta knows where she got it – from a Hallmark card.

I know what I’m clinging to – the hope that she loses the Speakership that she has so shamelessly squandered and the constant media glare that goes with it. No wonder she always looks so surprised.
