Fourteen days to go…

Two quick hits and back to the black hole of project land.

Fausta has some must-see ads. Then go over to and contribute – keep these ads running until election night!

Ed Morrissey has the Absolute Comprehensive Argument against Obama. Read it. Follow all the links. Print it out and give it to your senior adult friends that aren’t internet savvy. Nice “I am Joe” banner. But I think you mean you are Sam.

I am Joe. And I am definitely not Sam. I wonder why so many are so eager to identify with a guy who voluntarily introduced himself to the country with an outright lie, “I’m getting ready to buy a company…”.

I guess he does manage to live up to the standard for Repulican gimmick characatures set by Sarah Palin. Like her he turned out to be an unvetted fraud who doesn’t live up to his early billing. Bad sign for the GOP. The party would never have latched on to these hare-brained gimmicks in the days of Reagan.

Sarah Palin and Joe stand for the everyday person and thats why all of us identify with them becuase we are the normal every day people who work hard for our money

Funny, despite the fact that I live and work in New York City (you know, well outside of what Sarah Palin calls “Real America” — go ahead, ask me what it’s like for a major party vice presidential candidate to literally distinguish where I live from places where people love America) just about everyone I know works hard for his/her money. And I consider them all, as you say, “normal every day people”. But somehow the ones I choose to identify with aren’t the type who lie to me with the very first words I ever hear them speak. Usually when that happens, I choose not to associate with them, no matter how hard they work. To each his own, I guess.

Well, not all of us can be as “holy and exalted” and above the other sinners as you are,Joe.
The “rest of us” (outside the New York area,in yokel city)are human and have human traits. We are not “Godlike” and dont aim to be.

Godlike? Prefering to not identify myself with blatant liars is all it takes to be “holy and exalted” and “Godlike”? I tend to think that His standards are a little higher than that, personally. No, I’m not any of those things. But I think acknowledging outright dishonesty when we see it isn’t such a bad place to start.

You mean outright dishonesty like: who really wrote Obama’s books, Even the question arising over Obama’s U.S. citizenship, Obama’s real relationship with Ayers…need I go on?

    Sorry, David.

    The grownups are talking now.

Ah Joe, now we see your true colors. If you have deep insight to share, then fine, share it. But if you’re an Obama troll, go on your merry way.

If you choose to bait instead of debate, this comment thread will be closed.

Usually, real grownups seek real truth, not spin and deceit. True liberals react with childish name-calling and their minds shut down when faced with facts in a debate. So, true to your nature, you have turned to name-calling; putting others down because you have no idea what real truth is. You have been deceived by this glamour of “Change.” What is the real change spouted by Obama, who seeks to deceive, and Biden, who has been molded and entrenched for decades in Washington politics as usual? Get a real life. Open your mind to truly seek what is best for America and the people who call this great land their home.

    Sorry David and Obi’s Sister

To answer your question in #7, David, the issues you raised are not examples of “outright dishonesty”. They are unsubstantiated rumors brandied here as fact, unlike my point about Joe the Plumber. I found the response in #7 childish however I agree that my expression of that sentiment was less polite than I usually care to conduct myself.

Further, I’ll note that I have been sarcastically called “Godlike” and “holy and exalted” and now been told to “Get a real life”. So while my apology for my response in #8 is sincere, I don’t believe I’m the only or the first one to engage in less than polite behavior.

Last, David, I don’t appreciate being lectured on the fallacies of what I believe, without even having offered up any opinions on that particular topic. I don’t see how could you know that I “have been deceived by this glamour of “Change.”. I haven’t offered a single word here on what I think of Senator Obama.

Personally, I’ve never felt a need to rely on baseless assumptions about the opinions and gullibility of people I happen to disagree with. You won’t see me make such assumptions about you or anyone else here. Please afford me the same level of respect.
