Vote MA, Vote!

Under the weather, again.

All eyes turn today to Massachusetts and the special election that (I hope) is the beginning of the end for the Democrats. Pray for a good turnout and a fair election. No cheating, no violence, no threats. Please folks, act like you’re older than twelve!

I’ll make a prediction: if Scott Brown wins, the market will rally and Obama will try to crowd the spotlight, claiming vindication for his outrageous fiscal policies and that the financial crisis is over.

Jill quotes Lurch, that paragon of the Boston workingman:

The voters are all too familiar with how democracy works in Massachusetts. That’s part of the problem.

UPDATE: Mary Jo Kopechne was unavailable for comment (The Nose on Your Face, via Gerard)

UPDATE II: Coakley must be really panicked. Marc Elias, former attorney for Al Franken in his Senate race recount until the cows come home campaign, is now magically by her side, already claiming “spoiled ballots.” Oh puuuhleeezzz!

Did the Boston Globe really just test their new software, or were they already calling the election for Coakley?

William Jacobson is live-blogging the election at Legal Insurrection.

And the ever industrious Stacy McCain has a live video from Scott Brown’s HQ.

How scared are the liberal taskmasters? Even David Brooks, Stacy’s favorite whipping boy, is firing a warning salvo about the folly of continuing down the yellow brick road of ZeroCare. Allahpundit:

Dude, if David Brooks is accusing you of elitism for continuing to pursue this, it should be abundantly clear how bad it’s going to be.

Outstanding.

UPDATE III: 9:20-ish pm, Coakley concedes to Brown. It’s over.

Ace says the Brown party is pandemonium!

* * * * *

Well, shoot, let’s invite everybody to the election party!

Some folks I know have speculated that PBO would make a Clintonian turn toward the center in the wake of a big defeat, thus salvaging his presidency. I think his ego’s too big and his political savvy too small for that. He’ll keep running his leftward course until he goes right over the edge.

I agree with you. I doubt he can admit his mistakes, much less learn from them.

Me three. Obamalinksy has been on a suicide mission from day one. The idea was always to take the country down and “rebuild” it.
