Breaking: Reid appoints John Kerry, Patty Murray, and Max Baucus to Super Committee

Honestly, folks, the jokes will write themselves.

(Here is where I pine inconsolably for No Sheeples Here, who is lost to the bloggysphere. She’d have a field day with this one.)

About That “New Civility”

You first. I’d just like to see it, hear it, just once, before you dissolve into a slobbering, enraged mass of quivering gibberish. Wait. Hold that thought; let me turn on my camera. Ok, now!

With Governor Scott Walker leading the way, the Wisconsin legislature is coming to its senses, without the AWOL cry-baby Dems.

The “New Civility” ensues.

Have cameras and videos ready, folks, because the “New Tone” approaches like a tsunami.

Ok, Pretend I’m a German Soldier Hiding in the Brush When I Say…

Very in-ter-rest-tink.

While most of America shakes their collective head over the Democrats electing the most toxic political figure in modern American history to be their leader again, another story is beginning to emerge. A story that sounds just like something the underhanded Pelosi would pull.

From Anthony Martin, at the Conservative Examiner,

New allegations raise suspicions concerning the near-miraculous election of Nancy Pelosi as House Minority Leader in the 2011 Congress, which is set to take office in January, leading to the question, did Pelosi blackmail the White House to get the post?

[…] Is it lack of courage, perhaps, that led to the Democrats’ questionable move? Or is there a more sinister reason? One person suggests blackmail. And the charge is not too far-fetched.

Ulsterman reports today that White House sources have alluded to information Pelosi has on the President — information that could be so damaging to Obama that his Presidency would be sent into a tailspin. So fetermined was Pelosi to keep her position of leadership in the House that sources suggest she used that information to put pressure on the White House, which then put pressure on House Democrats to vote in favor of Pelosi for Minority Leader.

This Ulsterman had a discussion with a White House insider, who, shall we say, spilled a LOT of beans.

Insider: Ok, so if I’m being told this, being told repeatedly that Speaker pelosi has had it with the White House, has had it with the president, is gonna help send them all packin’ Away to political has-been street, and then she actually stays on as party leader, that means something happened. Something changed from what I am being told. Or somebody got it wrong – and either way, I can be -expletive- over on this whole thing. Do you realize how powerful a Speaker of the House really is? And Pelosi is about as tough a Speaker as I’ve seen. Tough-though lady. Not someone you wanna make an enemy of, right? So…if-if…if she stays on as party leader, that means she was got to. That means she made a deal. And if she was gonna help crack heads over at the White House, that means she probably made a deal with them, right? And that means this information she was supposed to help leak out there to the rest of us, to others, will probably disappear.

Ulsterman: But the Republicans will control Congress. Pelosi won’t be Speaker. Seems like that information would still get out there. Why wouldn’t it?

Insider: Because the only way the White House would agree to a deal is if they were given that information to keep for themselves or had assurances it as no longer available. They are not going to just allow Pelosi to keep holding it over them. You see, the White House was sending out strong signals that Pelosi must go. I know this. I heard it first hand from members of Congress. She is gone. So if she all of a sudden stays, and stays as leader of the party, that means the White House stopped pushing for her to be gone. And that means a deal was made. And THAT means I’m left scrambling for cover in all of this. And so is everyone who has been talking to me. The Republicans don’t take over until 2011, right? Whatever information Pelosi has on Obama – and she has it. Don’t you doubt that. She’s got it. Well, that information could easily be no more by January. Bye-bye, gone. Replaced, misplaced – never was, never will be again. That -expletive- happens all the time. I mean all the time.

If this is true, and it does sound like something these scoundrels would pull, how can we stop it from happening? Pelosi claimed she was going to drain the swamp when she was elected Speaker, instead she’s become the swamp. This is treason. They all should all go to jail.

Ethics, Schmethics!

Evidently the pathetic Charlie Rangel hand-slap was just the warm up band.

…the House Ethics Committee suddenly postponed the trial of Maxine Waters on ethics violation because it found more evidence of direct intervention by her office to benefit the bank in which her husband owned a substantial interest. According to new e-mails uncovered by the committee, her chief of staff directly coordinated with other members of the House Financial Services Committee on behalf of OneUnited.

Why “suddenly postpone?” To circle the wagons? This trial could have a domino effect, further weakening the Democratic party.

Waters may not be the only Democrat in trouble if this is true. The e-mails used loaded but generic terms like “small bank language,” a code for the known interest Waters had in OneUnited. After all, Waters had already discussed her interest in the bank with Frank, and the nudge would be unmistakable. Everyone on that committee knew that the “small bank” that held the most interest for Waters was the small bank in which her family held so much interest.

That opens up questions about the ethics not just of Waters but of those committee members who cooperated with Moore and his pleas for “small bank” assistance. OneUnited ended up with millions in TARP money, and unlike other applicants, got to count that cash among its assets before actually receiving the money. The preferential treatment the bank received — unique among over 700 applicants for TARP money — seems oddly coincidental to Waters’ status and the newly exposed machinations of Moore on her behalf.

Seems to me that the Democrats would want to rush the trial, while they still have a majority in Congress, so Maxine can get her ceremonial hand-slap as well.

Pop the popcorn. This is going to get interesting!

Sauce for the goose, Mr. Saavik

Pelosi to quit if GOP takes the House

Exit question: Will she try to milk the taxpayers for one last ride home on a military charter het?

Oh, My. OOOOOOOOhhhhhhh, My.

“…we can’t have special interests sitting shotgun. We gotta have middle class families up in front. We don’t mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back.”

President Obama spoke those words yesterday at a campaign stop in Woonsocket, R.I. Just think if those same words were uttered by a white president. Or any president for that matter. Except our race-baiting post-racial President gets his usual pass. Either he is completely clueless or he’s seeing just how far he can push decent, hard-working Americans.

That speech was just a few days after he urged Latino voters to “punish our enemies” by voting Democratic.

On Al Sharpton’s radio he appeals to black voters to keep his agenda moving. But which direction? The car’s in the ditch; it has an Obama bumper sticker on it. And that gully is sooo deep, it’ll take a wrecker to pull it out.

Vote GOP. Vote against the Democrats.

And if you’re in GA-13, kick out the corrupt David Scott by voting for Mike Crane.

One Week To Go

Remember Nancy Pelosi’s promise of “no more deficit spending?”

Liar, liar, pants on fire.

Vote against the Democratic Agenda to Destroy America.

Playing Catch-up

Out of pocket most of the weekend, so I’m playing catch-up today.

B.J. Lawson won last week’s Ten Buck Friday poll. Running in NC, he’s a persistent fella…

B.J. Lawson is a young physician from North Carolina (NC-04) who was running against an entrenched liberal incumbent back in 2008, before it was so cool to do so. Dr. Lawson has returned in 2010, riding the red wave that promises to sweep away liberals all over the country.

Donate to his campaign directly here.

This week’s new poll is up at RightKlik.

Michigan State’s head coach, Mark Dantonio, had a heart attack after his Spartan’s upset Notre Dame in overtime by 34-31. He is resting comfortably and basking in the glow of his giant-slaying.

Unhappily (very, very unhappily), I was unable to attend the RedState gathering. So I will have to live vicariously through Moe and Erick. More later.

I also missed “Talk Like a Pirate Day.” At least you can still get your pirate name here.

As a consolation of sorts, my Saturday was spent with 92,000 of my closest friends. The Dawgs outcome was not nearly as stellar. While they can still have a winning season, the chances for post-season play are now close to nil. Hopefully I’ll have some pictures later, if I can figure out this camera.

Remember last week when I said you could smell the fear? Well, it appears that while I was gallivanting about the state, the White House reached Panic level 4 and true to form is falling back on their magic formula – class warfare. Perhaps a visual is order:

What Would Honest Abe Say?

The estimable Gerard restyled Abraham Lincoln’s “A House Divided” speech, delivered on 16 June, 1858 at The Statehouse in Springfield, Illinois, into words that resonate today.

Then Erik Svane, my CPAC pal, weighed in the comments. You see Erik is an expert in all things Lincoln, and has a book (graphic novel, really), co-authored with Dan Greenberg that is going to be released soon. Imagine the horror President Lincoln would feel at how far our country has fallen. Erik reminds us that Republicans were smeared just as badly in Lincoln’s time as today, with these words from the famous Cooper’s Union speech (delivered 27 February 1860, in New York City):

…ask yourself how much things have really changed in a century and a half…

…when you speak of us Republicans, you do so only to denounce us as reptiles, or, at the best, as no better than outlaws. You will grant a hearing to pirates or murderers, but nothing like it to [Republicans]. In all your contentions with one another, each of you deems an unconditional condemnation of [Republicanism] as the first thing to be attended to. Indeed, such condemnation of us seems to be an indispensable prerequisite — license, so to speak — among you to be admitted or permitted to speak at all. Now, can you, or not, be prevailed upon to pause and to consider whether this is quite just to us, or even to yourselves? Bring forward your charges and specifications, and then be patient long enough to hear us deny or justify.

Do you think that President James Buchanan’s administration met every morning to formulate talking points against the “opposition,” engaging in what could only be dubbed the original antbellum conference call?

Ben Smith, writing in the Politico, tells us Barack Obama’s allies meet every morning by conference call at 8:45 a.m. to build their talking points. The calls operate as a left-wing character assassination squad run by John Podesta of the Center for American Progress (“CAP”). Podesta was also Co-Chairman of the Obama-Biden Transition Project. In addition, CAP’s political wing runs a website called Think Progress, which coordinates online messaging among leftwing bloggers.

We see this happening yet again here. Obama’s coordinated character assassination campaign against anyone who disagrees with him strikes of Soviet style politics. Saul Allinsky would be proud.

For perspective, the Koch brothers have been funding right-of-center and largely libertarian causes since the 1970’s. David Koch was the Libertarian Vice Presidential nominee in 1980. That’s right — against Reagan. This is nothing new for the Koch family. Through Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, and Bush the Koch’s have been politically engaged, sometimes even against Republican Presidents.

But Barack Obama is so used to demagoguing and is the first Democratic President to really believe the rich are evil, and not just preach it for the base, he needs an enemy. The Koch family will be that enemy.

The politics of personal destruction never change.

November is coming.

Big Government – Black Conservatives Stand Up to the Bigoted NAACP

A picture is worth a thousand words. This screenprint, via Ui2.com tells a marvelous story.

No matter how our own President tries to divide the nation, balkanizing Americans according to the Democratic play book, people of all colors don’t buy the snake oil.

Three cheers for Andrew Breitbart and his many enterprises for standing up to these clowns!

Also, at Legal Insurrection, Professor Jacobson notes the similarities of this long, hot summer, to last summer and the reason for the birthing of Tea Parties nationwide:

We’re seeing it again. As documented here dozens of times, the past year has seen Democrats jump the race card shark. The NAACP resolution painting Tea Parties as racist was the last card.

Aided, abetted, and in some cases instigated, by groups like Think Progress and Media Matters and their followers in the left-wing blogosphere, Democrats have launched a wholesale attempt to isolate and ostracize those who disagree with the Obama agenda. We are seeing it daily in the ridiculous attacks on Sharron Angle and other candidates challenging Democratic leaders.

Too Good to Check

(h/t Drudge)

Charlotte could have been my new BFF, but sadly, she passed away on July 8th. From the Las Vegas Register-Journal:

Election 2010 has just heard from a member of the Silent Majority.

You know, from a deceased person.

Chances are good you never met Charlotte McCourt during her 84 years, but I’m willing to bet you’ll be hearing about her in the coming days now that her obituary has taken Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to task. It’s the kind of small story that has the potential to ricochet like a bullet through the campaign showdown between incumbent Reid and Republican challenger Sharron Angle.

Not because McCourt, who died July 8 after a long illness, was a political player or business powerbroker, but precisely because she was neither of those things. She was a homemaker, proud mother and grand mother and wife of 67 years to Patrick McCourt.

And she was at one time a loyal supporter of Harry Reid.

Her obituary, printed in Tuesday’s Review-Journal, reads in part, “We believe that Mom would say she was mortified to have taken a large role in the election of Harry Reid to U.S. Congress. Let the record show Charlotte was displeased with his work. Please, in lieu of flowers, vote for another more worthy candidate.”

Ouch.

Or as Moe Lane quips, “Harry Reid loses key Dem demographic.” Heh.

The Tangled Web of Obama’s Politics

While the honeymoon has been over for a while, inside sources whisper that Obama is now sleeping on America’s couch. It won’t be long before he’s kicked out of the house and asks his secretary find him a place to live.

First, let’s back up to the election of 2008. Even before then, to the primaries. Allegations are surfacing that Obama was selected (read pushed) by the DNC over Hillary Clinton, over the votes of millions of Americans. Threats, intimidation and voter fraud were rampant, especially in the caucus states. Gigi Gaston is a writer/director who produced a documentary, We Will Not Be Silenced, outlining the rampant voter fraud perpetrated by the Obama campaign. Check out Carol’s Closet. Maggie has more on each video. Hillbuzz has more on the corruption, as well.

My question is, with Hillary being the political animal she is, why did she roll over and let Obama get away with this? Was she threatened? Was her family threatened? Was it presented as a ‘take one for the team or we’ll paint you a raaaaacist’ scenario? It seems odd to me that Hillary would allow someone else to cheat her out of the prize she’s coveted for so long. Perhaps it has been covered elsewhere and I’ve missed it. Send links/info/etc., and I will update to include.

The New Black Panther voter intimidation and subsequent dropping by the DOJ has been roundly discussed, by people much smarter than me. However, some believe the case has ‘nine lives’ and it is about to be resurrected, much to the administration’s dismay.

It’s our sincere hope that Eric Holder made a colossal mistake of Watergate proportions with the dismissal of prosecution in the Black Panthers case. When Republicans take back Congress, they need to investigate this matter fully — and not be intimidated or bullied by the CBC, NAACP, Rainbow Push Coalition, or the rest of the Race Industry into letting this matter go.

It’s clear the Justice Department is engaging in a policy and practice of refusing prosecution of black criminals who have committed crimes against whites. It would be unconscionable for the Attorney General to refuse to prosecute white criminals for attacks upon blacks. The reverse needs to be true as well — and an Attorney General who spearheads a practice of such racial discrimination needs to be removed from office.

The NBPP leader that Holder cleared of charges, Malik Shabazz, proclaims his solidarity with Osama Bin Laden. Erick believes he would make an excellent campaign issue (emphasis Admin.):

Now we have King Samir Shabazz. He showed up at a polling location in Pennsylvania and intimidated voters going into the polls. The Justice Department pursued the case and, having received a verdict it the government’s favor, Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder stopped pursuing the New Black Panthers.

Video has subsequently come out of King Samir Shabazz encouraging the murder of white children.

Republican candidates nationwide should seize on this issue. The Democrats are giving a pass to radicals who advocate killing white kids in the name of racial justice and who try to block voters from the polls.

The Democrats will scream racism. Let them. Republicans are not going to pick up significant black support anyway. But here’s the thing: everyone but the Democrats will understand this is not racism. This isn’t even about race. This is about the judgment of an administration that would rather prosecute Arizona for doing what the feds won’t do than prosecuting violent thugs who would deny you and me the right to vote while killing our kids

This video is just one example of Washington’s cluelessness of what is happening outside the city limits of DC. They never knew the Devil would actually show up and collect, just for selling their souls for one election. Note the audience’s reponse to CA congressman Brad Sherman’s response that he’s “simply not aware of that (New Black Panther) case.”

This is why most Democrats are eschewing Town Halls, this summer…the anger and disgust with their malfeasance has reached a boiling point, and they know it.

Before the NAACP can even pass it’s resolution that the Tea Parties are raaaaacist (an obvious DNC plot to redirect attention while they steal even more) based on false and inflammatory press coverage, the Tea Party beats them to the punch with their own resolution, stating the organization is ‘bigoted,’ a ‘partisan attack dog organization,’ and urges the IRS to reexamine their tax-exempt status since they are obviously now a political organization, and no longer focus on civil rights.

Obama has personally set race relations back decades. Sending his grouchy wife to stir the pot at the NAACP convention is like throwing gas on a fire. As The Anchoress (paraphrased) says, “There is an art to good politics, and this ain’t art.” Blaming the Tea Parties for the racial schism developing in America is nothing more than projectile projecting.

More people than ever believe Obama is a socialist. A puppet controlled by union thugs. His disdain for Americans is becoming more evident every day.

Barry Obamski learned his skills well. It’s time. November is coming.

UPDATE: Linked by The Anchoress! Many thanks!
