There’s Rule 5 Cheesecake and Then There’s Mark Harmon

A palette cleanser. Ha. My kids know about my addiction to NCIS. Besides the great stories, complex characters, detailed plots, twists and turns, the big draw is one particular actor. They see a gruff older agent; the terror of his subordinates, the thorn in the side of authority. What they don’t know is that women of a certain age remember him as a younger man, gloriously rugged and independent, the perfect … well, I’ll just keep that part to myself… and appreciate how he’s matured like a fine, fine wine. He was the Illya Kuryakin of the ’80’s.

Mark Harmon. Ahhhh Mark Harmon. We should all age so well.

UPDATE: Hahahah. Steve Burri called my Gibbs and raised me a Ziva.

Whew! I feel much better now knowing I’m not the only one who has had a “thing” for Mark Harmon for all of these years. His portrayal of Ted Bundy scared the heck out of me.

He’s a great actor and good to ah, look at. Yeah that’s it.

OK, smartie pants, Rule 5, Mark Harmon, NCIS lover:

You know R.S. McCain’s rules for building a blog, but can you name Gibbs’ rules for NCIS agents?

I’ll call your Rule 5 post and raise you over on Grandpa John’s.

    Hmmm… Let’s see. Can’t remember all the numbers….

#9 is Never go anywhere without a knife.

Then there’s Never screw over your partner; If you going to lie, always be specific; Never interrupt Gibbs when he’s in interrogation; Never get a lawyer involved; The best way to keep a secret is to keep it to yourself. If you have to tell someone, only tell one other person.; Your case, your lead.

    How’d I do – without cheating?

I couldn’t have said it any better myself. Mark Harmon is one of those actors that you love for a long time. The fact also that he is still married to the one and only Pam Dawber for many years makes him even more attractive. The man just has something extra, I think it’s his eyes those gorgeous eyes. When they look at you, they see into your soul. He is also confident and loyal and that along with the rest makes that a lethal combination.

I must say, as a NCIS addict and way too wisecracking fan, I must say that Mark is one of God’s gifts to the world today, oh how so many people love that silver haired fox…
