It’s amazing what almost a week of enforced little-to-no-blogging will do to focus your pursuit for truth. Forget the networks and newspapers, even the major news sites. I’ve missed my bloggy friends. They’ve been busy spreading the word while I was otherwise engaged in auditioning for the Douglas County water ballet.

So this evening, we start off with the lovely Dr. Melissa Clouthier. She sets the tone, outlining the many delicious ways the Democrats are shooting themselves in the foot.

With Democrats running things, people have had just teensy taste of what liberalism does for and to a country and its people. Fundamentally all the “help” talk is really “we-don’t-think-you-have-what-it-takes” talk. Under the guise of helping, people feel disempowered and condescended to.

The health care debate revealed a callous disregard for the aging. It also showed the left’s collectivist tendencies: people aren’t viewed as individuals but as a group that either helps or harms the government’s desire for “fairness”.

Overplaying all their cards (racism, sexism, children and the poor) constantly has numbed the public to their meaning. Kinda like the Boy Who Cried Wolf, but with a bigger, more hypocritical carbon footprint.

Whether it was in refusing to step in during the Joe Wilson affair, and thus allowing him to be skewered by the lapdog press as a “racist” for two simple (and true) words or by blantantly ignoring Republicans during the health care debate, Obama is sending a clear signal that he could care less for anything that doesn’t about HIM and HIS personal agenda. All that post-racial rhetoric and those bipartisan promises are really panning out for America, aren’t they?

He ignores disaster victims (by sending his lackey). That horrific black-on-black crime in Chicago (h/t The Other McCain)? Not worth a presidential sniff. He is empowering the left to stoke their hate to dangerous levels. He surrounds himself with liberal operatives and covets your children’s minds. But disengages himself from the US military protecting our very shores, because, after all, secure American sovreignty is not that important.

But, overriding all of it is a startlingly strong sense of evil, galloping our way, in battalions.

She touches on the unbelievable hypocrisy of the media and Hollywood’s DEFENSE of Roman Polanski, who was finally arrested for his rape/sodomy crime against a 13 year old girl over 30 years ago. He fled America and the justice he deserved then and now. And she sees the connection between this behavior, the attitude of our “betters” in Washington and the primal aloofness of Obama.

There is a connection -can you help me make it- between the vociferous defense of Roman Polanski by the “artistic elite” and their unquestioning support of anything that is against America, against the very system that has given them wealth and power and privilege. And that, somehow, touches the pride and prejudice of this administration, too.

This elitist posturing is not only perverse, but absurd. If Polanski were merely a French production assistant, no Hollywood celebrities or HuffPo sophisticrats would come to his defense.

Indeed. But because he is famous, and he is so cool, he is to be instantly forgiven his sins. In fact, legions of other cool kids are signing petitions to urge Switzerland to release Polanski. I don’t know about you, but now I have a handy-dandy list to use when choosing future movie outings. A filter is a mighty thing. If enough people have this same sensibility, then these morons will finally feel the pinch of morality in the place they care about most – their paychecks.

Whoopi Goldberg, that pillar of critical thinking, comes to Polanski’s defense:

“I know it wasn’t ‘rape’ rape. I think it was something else, but I don’t believe it was ‘rape’ rape,” said Goldberg, dismissing the possibility that Polanski had forced himself on anyone.

How does she know? Was she there? In the room, the actual room where the crime occurred? Whoopi has a daughter…and granddaughters. How would she feel if it was one of her girls that was victimized at the hands of this pedophile?

By the way, Whoopi is a spokesperson for Toys ‘R’ Us. A “child advocate,” no less. Perhaps you’d like to drop them a line about Whoopi and her latest pearl of wisdom.

Obama’s message, whether spoken or subliminal, is becoming clearer. He is following his plan for the purposeful destruction of America to the letter. Gerard has the visual aid of Obama’s future.
